In the Hobo class can the cage have a bar from front to back inside the passenger side like the drivers side? Can we use screw in spring spacers?

sorry, no bar on the passenger side. You can have one on the drivers side, but not on the passenger. If this becomes a serious safety risk, I will revisit the rule, but for this year, this is how the rule is written.
and no on the spring spacer. -Jay

Powder Puff is a GO. We were able to get the five cars needed, so that means that we will allow other ladies to sign up the day of the show if they decide they would like to run. Keep in mind however that you will need to bring your own car since this heat will run before the full size feature as to give the feature drivers a little more time to work on their cars.
The Fairboard has promised $500 for this heat and I will let the drivers of the heat decide the payout break down. I will also put up $100 for the mad dog out of my pocket as well. -Jay

and speaking of mad dog money, here is what I have. I have raised money from local sponsors and will be giving out mad dog money to the hardest driving...hardest hitting...most consistent driver in each of the four classes (Full size, Compact, Hobo, and Powder Puff). The money will be awarded to the mad dog of the feature in the full size and compact and during the heat of the other two. It will be voted on by a group of the sponsors who put the money up. The break down is this. Full Size and Compact.....$500 to each mad dog in these two Hobo........$300 Powder Puff.....$100 I will also have a $100 prize in the Hobo class for the best paint job. Looking forward to a good, clean, fun show next week with no whining and fighting -Jay

What time does the derby start?

good question and it gives me a good chance to make this clear.
Start time of the derby is 7:30. This means that inspections start at 1:30 and end at 5:30. This means that you must be IN LINE at 5:30 for your initial inspection. Only re-inspections will be done after that. I will be very strict on this.

Hey Jay How about talking the fairboard into doing lawnmowers next year, between the consolations and finals as a way to pass some time. Heath

PHDC took over the compact class. Brent took first. The final should be good show if they come out hitting. There all in good shape. It's about to start now.
