Jake Harris's car was a late 70's LTD.

Jake Harris had a car that was a real "arm breaker". Lol For those who were there and saw me get hauled away in the meat wagon, I'm doing fine now. A stupid rookie mistake of having one hand on the steering wheel while starting my car with my head down made me miss Jake coming in for a solid hit in the front right of my car. My hand and wrist went one way and my body went the other.
Three day and two night stay in the hospital with an all inclusive four hour surgery was part of my package. The fine hospital staff even threw in an eight inch long metal plate with ten stainless screws to hold my radial bone which was broken clean through in two spots. While getting my pampering package in the operating room they were kind enough to also put the Ulna back into the proper place at the wrist as it had decided to go its own direction as well. Thank you for all the well wishes and a big thank you to Tony Russell and Ted Warner for picking me up from the Harper Level 1 trauma center and taking me to Wesley. And thank you to the promotors and Kevin Topper for helping my father to get the car loaded up and strapped down. That would have been a big job for a 72 year old man to do alone. Now let's race! I'm ready for the next derby!
