Starting at 12:00 there will be a 200-lap enduro. For questions about the rules & regulations on the enduro car, you can call Rick Mansfield @ 620 515 1499. Each car will be required to bring their own lap counter and we will have a meeting for the lap counters at 11:45 in the area roped off for lap counters in the grandstands. Enduro cars must go through tech by 11:30.
The payout is as follows: 1st - $1,000 & trophy; 2nd - $500 & trophy; 3rd - $350 & trophy; 4th - $200 & trophy; 5th - $100 & trophy.
Starting at approximately 2:00 PM will be a Demolition Derby. Demo cars must be in place by 12:30, no later. The payout will be as follows: full body cars: 1st - $1,000 & trophy; 2nd - $700 & trophy; 3rd - $500 & trophy; 4th - $250 & trophy; 5th - $100 & trophy. Top 3 in each heat will receive $100 & trophy. Mini payout: 1st - $500 & trophy; 2nd - $300 & trophy; 3rd - $100 & trophy. A Mad Dog Trophy (sponsored by Rick & Christi Mansfield) and a minimum of $100 will be presented to the driver who had the hardest hit (fan chosen).
Demolition Derby Rules
Mini Stocks will use the same rules, but must have 104 ½” wheelbase and if they change the motor, it cannot be bigger than a V-6.
Entries in the Mid America Demolition Derby are open to men and women in the area who have obtained the age of 18 and who have a valid drivers license. The following regulations shall be observed for the safety and fairness of all contestants.
ENTRY
1. Each driver must be 21 years old or have a notarized permit from parent. No driver under 18 years of age will be allowed. Every person in the pit area must have a pit pass (wristband).
2. Each driver must furnish his own car or have someone sponsor his car.
3. American cars, station wagons ONLY. NO SEDAGON, HERSES OR IMPERIALS SUBS.
4. A driver may enter each heat but must have a different car for each heat.
5. Entries will be accepted from 9:00 AM to 11:30 PM – NO LATER.
6. PRYOR TO RACE TIME, EACH DRIVER MUST SIGN AN ENTRY BLANK AND EACH DRIVER AND PIT MAN MUST SIGN AN INSURANCE FORM.
7. No driver will be allowed to purchase a car from another driver unless officials verify transaction.
8. If a driver drives two (2) cars, the car that qualified in the heat must be driven. Any attempt to use another car or change vehicle numbers will result in an automatic disqualification.
9. Entry fee for each vehicle is $30. This fee includes one car and one driver. Pit people are required to purchase a pit pass at the pit gate for $30.
PARTICIPATION RULES
1. Drivers may maneuver forward or backward.
2. Hitting an opponent’s car in the driver’s door is NOT ALLOWED.
3. All drivers must complete an aggressive hit, with visible damage, on alternating competitors within 60 seconds. If contact does not show visible results, you may be disqualified for sandbagging. If your contacts do not vary equally between all participants on the track, you may be disqualified for team driving. It is easily detected when you are not complying. Absolutely no pinning or holding competitors vehicle.
4. THE DRIVER MUST REMAIN IN HIS/HER CAR UNTIL HIS/HER CAR IS REMOVED BY TOW TRACTOR OR ADVISED BY TRACK OFFICIALS.
5. All drivers must attend the 1:30 PM pit meeting prior to the race.
6. Any driver not in place when he is called will be disqualified.
7. No driver or pitman under the influence of liquor will be permitted to enter the performance area or to participate.
8. Pitmen are not allowed in the show arena during a heat.
9. Any car that has any two (2) wheels over the poles or has traveled out of the gate shall be disqualified.
10. If a driver has two cars marked with the same number, one car must have another letter or number beside it. (Example: 4, 4b). Driver must drive same car that qualified in the heat. If both cars qualify, the driver can have another person drive that is 18 or over with the pit pass and Okayed by officials.
11. Nobody will be allowed to stay in PIT area without PIT PASS. Cost of pit pass is $30.
12. Three cars will be taken from each of the heats plus the consolation winner, to make up the finals. FAILURE TO OBEY RULES WILL RESULT IN DISQUALIFICATION FROM ALL HEATS AND CONSOLATION RACES WITH NO REFUND OF ENTRY FEES!
PREPERATION OF CARS
1. Advertising and printing may be placed on the car anywhere except the front doors. The driver’s name should be placed above the number (use your own choice of number) on both front doors, in large print. No profanity of any kind will be tolerated!
2. Radiator fans may be removed, but radiators cannot be removed and must be in stock position. The driver’s door must be reinforced with pipe or steel plate and welded or bolted to the outside of door. The reinforcement must be no longer than door width plus 6 inches and NO WIDER than 6 inches. Bumpers and fenders may be trimmed and batteries may be replaced in a secure position. Batteries must be chained or strapped. No bailing wire. Batteries must be tightly secured and covered with some type of rubber covering.
3. All chrome, fiberglass, die cast metals, i.e., head, tail and parking light assemblies, and all glass must be taken out and/or vacuum the inside of doors, as well as the passenger or trunk components, to be completely free of fragments. Anywhere in or on the vehicle. If glass is found in the vehicle, you will not be allowed to compete until it is removed.
4. All rear seats, carpet, rear shelf mats, headliner, spare tire covers, and debris must be removed. Interior door panels may be kept on for safety reasons, but glass must be out of door.
5. The gas tank shall contain a maximum of three (3) gallons of gas. The tank shall be a boat tank, or better, properly mounted by chains or straps held down with bolts through the floorboard.
Absolutely no five (5) gallon gas cans.
6. A few 4 x 4 patches allowed! Other than front and rear bumper.
6a. Station wagon decking must be removed (NO EXCEPTIONS). Doors may be welded solid, wagon gates included. Maximum of 25, 3/8” bolts in quarter panels and fender.
6b. Trunks may be tucked or folded over. But must have 10” by 10” inspection hole. This rule will be enforced.
7. Four hood or trunk bolts, 5” x 5” washers or 4 hood or trunk chained 2 & 2 ok (NOT BOTH). May use up to ¾ bolts and ¾ body bolts and must have 1” body spacer.
7a. Bumper and bumper brackets or shocks may be welded up to 3” back from front of frame. (DO NOT WELD UP FACTORY FRAME HOLES).
7b. No painting, under coating, or grease etc. of frames.
7c. No roll cages-Halos are ok, but must be connected to floor pan or cross bar, not to the frame. Hood bars may be placed from top of windshield to firewall not to exceed 1” pipe and no more than 3 bars.
8. Stock suspension, No welding A-arms, tie rods, shocks, etc.
8a. No truck rear ends. (No leaf spring change overs) coil-coil, leaf-leaf.
8b. No distributor protector and no harmonic balancer protectors.
9. Cars brought to the arena must have working breaks.
10. All hoods must have a 10” x 12” hole on both sides of carburetor for fire fighting purposes. Headers out of the hood are sufficient. One fire will disqualify a driver.
11. No filling with fluid or foam. Must be filled with air and be D.O.T. approved or factory seconds. Tread design must be straight tread, mud, snow, radial, or aqua. No military or tractor lug tires allowed. Any liquid in tires will result in an automatic disqualification.
12. Safety belts and helmets are required.
13. These rules are absolute. Any violation will result in DISQUALIFICATION WITH NO REFUND!
14. No vehicle to exceed five (5) mph in pit area.
15. If firewall is cut, must use some type of fire shield.
16. If it doesn’t say you can’t do it, doesn’t mean you can.

HEATS
The features cars will consist of the last three (3) active cars in each heat. This program subject is subject to change by the management without notice. IF a consolation race is run, this race will be programmed BEFORE the championship heat. No driver in the championship race will participate in a consolation race.
ENTRY FEE
Each car entered shall pay $30. This entitles a car and driver to participate. Each additional crewmember shall pay the regular pit pass charge of $30. All cars and pit people must sign an insurance form prior to the Derby agreeing to the amount and condition of insurance provided.
PRIZES
The last three (3) survivors in a full sized Demo heat will be declared co-winners and be EACH will receive $100 and a trophy. Full Sized Demo and Mini Demo will receive different cash prizes. A trophy will be awarded with the best appearance.
REMOVAL OF CARS
Each driver must remove his/her car from the pits immediately upon completion of the Derby. Cars not removed noon the following day will become the property of the Demolition Derby.
