i believe rule 4 is so you cant put pipe for a bumper... just build a bumper paul and put a crome skin over it... you will be fine. look at my trucks bumper its not stock and noone really can tell.... 6. Stock appearing bumpers- we will allow you to take any bumper apart. Weld any material you would like to the inside of the bumper. Weld the crome skin back into place. Everything must be done inside of bumper- FIX bumper! DOESNT SOUND LIKE REPLACING THE BACKING WITH A PIPE OR TUBING WOULD BE ALLOWED....... BUT DISMANTLING A BUMPER,ADDDING MATERIAL AND THEN REASSEMBLING IT IS..... LIKE I CARE..... The way I see it is everyone bitched about willy being at Lawrence so they get someone new. Most people around here have not ran a backer show. If you don't like the rules just don't run, but don't get on here and bad mouth a guy for coming to Kansas from iowa with the rules they run up thier.

the only problem i have with it is this whole bumper deal, there is 2 interpertations depending on how you read it? can you build your own bumper as according to rule #6 or is it just weld the factory bumper up like rule #4 says? which is it, why is it a guessing game? just make it black and white.

Weld any material you would like to the inside of the bumper ALL MATERIAL MUST BE INSIDE THE FACTORY 2 PIECE BUMPER. TAKE IT APART,FILL IT, PUT IT BACK TOGETHER... THATS AS EASY AS IT GETS............ NOW A JUNK ALUMINUM VIC BUMPER IS UNBEATABLE..........

Well Guys, I've been gone to alot with events all over the midwest the past 2 weeks. Looks like alot has been asked lately.
If you have never ran or been to an R&R Promotions event, you better be asking someone around you that has or be calling me if you have any questions.
RULES ARE RULES! They will be followed and enforced no matter who you are. The Fair board has nothing to do with the rules or the payout! R&R Promotion will be giving out the payout out of our own pockets!
The bumper rule isn't that confusing. I think you are trying to read into it too much.
Any factory bumper may be re-enforce as long as it looks like a factory bumper.
I've had a few cars(compacts) show up this year with a square tube welded to the front frame and then they put the crome skin back on the tubing.
If you take a bumper that has the crome skin along with a backing liner, then you must put the backing back over the tubing.
This rule is to help cut the cost of bumper and let's driver's have bumpers to use for the next seasons without having to buy or find another bumper.
As for thinking I'm with the fairboard- you are wrong. R&R Promotions does events all across the midwest and we have some of the biggest car counts around at fair, because we are fair and do our best to make it fun for everyone!
We even went out and raised some more sponsor money to help raise the payouts. Also we contacted Channel 6TV to come out and film the event to air this fall.
Not too many people work that hard to bring an event back to life and keep in mind this is our first time being at lawrence!

I don't blame anyone for thinking it's not going to be any different from years past. Some of you have never heard of R&R Promotions and that fine by us.
I do know there are some drivers that won't be coming this year, because they know they won't be able to get their cars in past tech.
Here's what I tell people when they call " It takes a cheater to catch a cheater"
We've been there and done it!!
All I ask is please come with an open mind about a new promoter and see how we do things. If you don't like something about the event, come talk to me afterwards. I've always listened and I even ask drivers their opinions or idea to help make the event bigger and better for next year.
Now as for the day of the event. 1. All cars must be inspected 1 hour before start time 2. Come early 3.When you sign in, you'll be given an inspection sheet, which we will fill out as we inspect your car. If any changes are needed to your car, this information will be written out on that sheet. After you past inspection, you will sign the sheet along with myself signing. You will thne be asked to turn the sheet back in at the sign in table which you will then draw for your heat.
4.After sign- drive to where you want to use for your pit area. Unload your car and take your hood off for inspection. You'll be reminded of this when you sign in.
Make sure all Wheel weights are takin off all your rim, look on the both sides of rim!
5. Make sure you attend the driver's meeting as their will me important information you will need to know for the event.
If anyone has any questions, please feel free to give me a call at-515-462-5775
We will be arriving arond 12 noon on friday for set up for the event.
So there you go, hope this clears a few things up.
Just come driver/pit or watch the event then judge it. You can't judge anything until you've seen it or been in the event.
Thanks, Rob Baker
