Chad puts on a great show, well-worth the money and from the spectator standpoint, the feature was what a championship feature should be. Lots of well-built cars and all the qualifiers along with Winslow, Chicken, Deric, and Arden should be commended on a great display of driving. Of all the derbies I go to in the summer, I'd say this was definitely the best.

This spectator thought it sucked!!! This was the worst derby I've been to all year. The feature was WAY too long with no hitting, just paint rubbing. I don't see how a ref could let that 31 car drive around for 30 min just tapping people. I saw him have plenty of good front end shots, but he just brushed them. It's no wonder you can't get anyone from Eastern Kansas to come to this derby. The figure 8 was good, so was the clean up derby. Too bad the final SUCKED!!!

Funny you call out the 31 car... He was your state champion last year, and was runner-up this year... I'm sure he can't drive, he just sandbagged his way to the finish... Nevermind the fact junked a few cars himself on the way to that runner-up finish...

A poor derby is one with poorly built cars that don't run well and are ruined with 2 or 3 hits. These were well built cars with good drivers. The only poor running car was the 111, and I am sure he will get that problem solved. The definition of the winner is the one still running with his/her flag up at the end. The one who track shots and goes crazy is the mad dog. Put on a derby where the mad dog is the winner and see how many and what kind of cars show up. I will not be there. This show was just fine with very capable people running it. If there are improvements to be made, I am sure all ideas will be considered. Derbies that are ran by drivers, tend to be the better ones to participate in. This derby was unique because everyone has either won or placed high in one or more derbies this year so all drivers know how to be there at the end. That rarely occurs throughout the derby season, so of course this one will look different.

Sorry my name wasn't on my post. I have nothing to hide. Besides, everyone is entitled their opinion and mine remains that I will not attend this derby next year. I expected a state championship derby to be a little more aggresive than what I saw. If their cars were so well built, why weren't they using them? No driver should have to break their stick because they run out of gas. Regina- I don't have to bring a car to this derby. I should be a ref so I can send them home for not hitting.

Bitching about people who win demos and calling them baggers.............that's original. You also need to call them cheaters........
ANY demo you go to is going to be a chess match of sorts when it gets to the nitty gritty. This demo was the opposite when nut cutting time came they drove harder! Funk vs regina then funk vs winslow, chicken vs jennings was well worth the money and the rest of the demo was good too. No big deal you have an opinion that's good but don't try to discredit people when credit is due.
