Talked to the Lion's Club last night and they said this show is a go unless there is some sort of biblical down-pour. So I will see you Saturday morning. Here are a few answers to some question's I've been asked. 1. Yes, fresh and used cars can have 24" of plate per frame rail in the weld class. Compacts can only plate what is bent, ripped, or otherwise effed up. It better be obvious. Hobos...no plates (obviously) 1.5 Yes, I will be a dick (like last year) about plates 2. No, you cannot run a tranny cooler in the Hobo class. end of discussion. 3. Yes, you may cut the floor and run a floor shifter in the Hobo class. 4. 11am is the start time. You have to be in line by 10am for your initial inspection. 5. Depending on the full-size weld car count, we may run it in a one-and-done heat for all the money. None of this 3 heats of 3 cars taking the top two crap. If there's 12 cars...they run for all the money and we all get to the Saturday night festivities that much quicker. 6. I have no clue...what they are charging for spectators and entry fee. The Lion's Club handles that and it's a good cause, so quit whining about it being too much. anything else I missed? Good! See you Saturday -Jay

He called a 93 Caprice a "Sherman Tank" because I had internal hump plates. I was still within the legal plate limit but he wouldnt let me run. Where in the rules does it say that you cant plate on the inside? So my car ran the "Outlaw class" and was junked in no time. What a joke of a promoter

I wish you would have promoted that there was an outlaw class. I have a car I would have brought. Are you going to have an outlaw class in the fall?

What a joke of a promoter 3) Concrete, metal plated, wood, foam, and pins in the frame will be considered added ballast and NOT allowed. (Exceptions will be stated below) That's where it says it... And lets tell everybody how our conversation went. Me: Load it up You: Where in the rules does it say you can't have plate on the inside of the frame? Me: Where in the rules does it say you can't bring a Sherman Tank? That is a metaphor. I wasn't saying your car was a Tank, because it was not. What I was saying is that this crap argument of, "But it doesn't say I CAN'T do it" does not fly with me. The rules state what you CAN do...not just a limited number of things you can't do. You cheated...You got caught. Take your lumps quietly and learn from it. Don't cheat or get better at it. Pretty simple. As far as your car getting destroyed...That's all on you. -Jay Armbrister

Full Size winner- Gary Russell (14 cars plus 2 that were declined)
Hobo- Pete Stevens' kid (5cars)
Compact- one of the Daniels brothers. (6 cars)
Hobo kicked ass!!! Everybody else did a good job too. Dry track and some solid shots all day. Team driving was present and I got boo'd some, but overall, I thought it was a pretty good show.

Vehicles may only be modified in the following ways. Any modifications not specifically authorized by the rules are prohibited. No unauthorized modifications are permitted in order to accommodate authorized modifications. Structural modifications are not permitted unless specifically authorized herein. JAY HAS GOT IT COVERED WITH THE ABOVE STATEMENT... I USED TO ASK GUYS THE SAME TYPE OF QUESTION" WHY DIDNT YOU PUT A MACHINE GUN ON THE ROOF" KEEP DOING IT THE RIGHT WAY JAY......WISH I HAD COME TO WATCH.......

The rules says you can plate the frame. It does not say you can plate the outside only, therefore i did not break a single rule. I was still within the plate limit. So tell me how i broke any rule.

Most promoters use a basic set of rules its all in how they interpret them. Why waste the time to try to put it inside the frame like you were trying to hide it or something??

If you cut the frame open to plate the inside don't you have to re-weld that CREATING A WELDED SEAM? "No frame welding other than what's stated in these rules"....
