Looks like you can build the "perfect" derby car to those rules, IMO anyway....... I only have one question: It says you can replace body bolts to 1", but I didn't see whether you have to leave the factory gap, or can we suck the body to the frame? *EDIT* Sorry, I'm talking about the full size weld/modified rules....

You dont have to have any spacers between the frame and body. Thanks, Rob

I WAS THERE AND HAD A GREAT TIME... MR. GREENS ANTICS WERE THE ONLY DETRACTION FOR THE NIGHT. I CAN UNDERSTAND HOW HE MAY HAVE FELT TEAMED ON IN THE FIRST MINUTE OF HIS HEAT, BUT IT DID GET STOPPED AND GREEN GOT A FREE PASS TO THE FEATURE. NOT SURE HOW YOU THOUGHT THAT IT WAS ROBS PLAN ,BECAUSE IF IT WAS IT ONLY GARNERED GREEN A SPOT IN THE FEATURE WITHOUT HIS CAR SUFFERING THROUGH A HEAT.....IN THE FEATURE HE SURELY DID A LARGER AMOUNT OF TEAMING WITH HIS BUDDIES 19 CAR AGAINST THE WHITE AND BLACK CAR THAN WAS DONE TO HIMSELF..... GREEN BURIED HIMSELF IN THE BERM AND WHEN IT WAS OVER THE OTHER DRIVER CAME OVER AND OFFERED TO SHAKE GREENS HAND.....WHICH CAUSED GREEN TO BE THE LESSER MAN AND DISMISS THE GENTLEMANS GESTURE WITH A FEW FLICKS OF HIS HAND..... ---...OTHERWISE... THE BONE STOCKS WERE A WELCOME CHANGE FROM WATCHING TILTED VICS THAT HAVE BECOME THE NORM...REALLY LIKE THE MOWER RACES AND MOWER DERBY FIRE!! AND OLD IRON KNOCKED IT OUT WITH THE WIN IN THE WELD CLASS AGAINST 2 VICS THAT GOT TOO HOT...... ROB, KEEP UP THE GOOD WORK....

As for feeding Mr. Green to the wolves, I think he was the wolf and everyone else was scared of him and that's why the other went after him. The heat was stop in the 1st minute of the race and dealt with. Did you talk to Mr. Green afterward?? Did he tell you what I was offering him? If watched the feature, He went hunting and settled it on the track, like everyone should. Not be a keyboard queen online! I didn't see the other driver complain after the feature, heck he even went over and shook everyone's hand afterwards. Now I feel that's what we need more of in our sport. Take care and thanks for your opinion. Rob Baker

It was nice to meet some new people at this event. I gave out several sets of rules and most liked the bolt/chain class. It's an easy build and you don't need a ton of $$$ to make a good car. We will be lowering the entry fee's next year as well and adding additional money to the payouts. Thanks to all the drivers that ran and we enjoyed the event. Thanks, Rob Baker

No Rob I left after that heat actually. You did same thing last year at Claremore and same thing at Coffeyville this year. I was pissed because you could have least told you MO buddies that they could give the crowd more than 30 secs before they went after him. It was obvious what was going to happen when that heat started. Johnte is a big boy and he can handle himself. I am pissed that you introduce demo to an area that the crowd who pays 17 bux to get in knows the rules better than the yellow shirts on the track.
Just because you don't like my opinion doesn't mean I am creating drama.

Soooooooo, let Johnte handle it himself then..... Sounds to me like you're a little sore over something that didn't even happen last weekend... In all due respect, I don't know you, Waylon, Rob, or Johnte, but I thought the derby was top notch..... And I DID stay for the whole thing... And I also saw how Mr. Green handled himself when it was all over... To say the least, it was less than sportsmanlike..... just sayin......

Team driving goes on no matter where you're at. It's just a fact that a driver has to realize is going to happen when they go. Rob did his best to split the two groups up. I was the odd man out in the whole bunch and you dont hear me bitching about getting team drove on. It happens, you just suck it up and give it your best shot to take them out. Even a blind squirrel gets a nut every now and then. Me personally, I had a blast In the weld class. Just wish my wagon would have run better in the chain class. If you don't like it then build a car and do something about it.
