Compacts are the same rules as osage right? Yes..you are allowed two more repair plates than Osage *Repair welds on used cars ( must see bend) limit of "six" per car no larger than 4 inch by 4 inch by 1/4 inch thick plate. call first & do not cover any frame holes! NO PAINT

Casey..are you talking about low Budget Class? . Engines and transmissions may be interchanged and mounts may be fabricated and welded as long as it does not strategically reinforce the frame, “A” frames, or shock towers. No engine mounts, braces, cables, or chains may extend more than 4” in front of, or 4” behind the engine block. Maximum length of angle or plate is 4”. Maximum size allowed is 2” x 2” x ¼”. Angle or plate must extend upward from top of frame only. Engine mounts may only be attached to the top of the frame rail, no welding to vertical frame surfaces. Anything that is excessive we will ask you to cut, or make it right ..or you will not be allowed to run.

TO BEGIN WITH......Barry ;D Yes ... low budget... it will cost me $5 to make this... and not sure if i even have time , nor money to derby at all... (I WOULD USE INCH AN A HAlF SQUARE TUBING) 1. it would be bolted to the back of the block..... 2. welded to my gas pedal... 3. 2 would be ran along each side of tranny(connected with 2 pieces over the top)... 4. welded to sifter... 5. then two pieces added for support on tail simillar to front...(again having a connector over the top... NOTHING WELDED TO THE FRAME it wont hurt me to make it and then send you pictures of it My tranny is also chained ... BETTER SAFE THAN SORRY let me know... Thanks Casey Thompson

CUT THE FIREWALL OUT ABOVE THE BELLHOUSING, THEN THE TRANS HAS NOTHING TO PIVOT ON. AND.. MAGICALLY.... NO MORE BROKEN BELLHOUSINGS. DISTRIBUTOR"PROTECTORS ARE NOTHING MORE THAN A GLORIFIED KICKER, AND THEY CREATE THE ISSUE OF BELLHOUSING BREAKAGE ALONE. CUT OUT THE FIREWALL LIKE OLD SCHOOL, AND NEVER BREAK ANOTHER TRANS OR DISTIBUTOR.... PROBLEM SOLVED..... THE CARS HAVE TO BREAK SOMEHOW TO END THE DERBY,RIGHT?

I dont even have a firewall or floor right now... Also not my first rodeo (ask anyone that has seen inside my cars----(NO FIREWALL) ;D Its low budget class, so i cant have my distributer protector... With my shifter and gas pedal... i have to cut everything out and then go back and weld certain spots back in so that there is no binding... ill just build it how he said was fine

now something else to argue..... Barry ... you really should let the wagons have allthread from frame to roof in back... you let a sedan from frame to trunk lid so a wagon should be allowed for them to the roof.. If not then i sedagon it and it will be to the "trunk lid" Its all the same ... THATS ALL IM ARGUEING------ im sure others feel the same way...
