Driver Entry
Championship is open to the top 3 positions from qualifying events and the hardest hitter, unless a super qualifier Then top 5 positions and hardest hitter qualifies.
Drivers must me 18 years old or if under 18 yrs. must have a notarized parental consent.
No one under 14 yrs. Allowed in pits.
Prize Money
1st-$3250.00, 2nd-$1800.00, 3rd-$1200.00, 4th-$1000.00, 5th-$750.00, 6th-$600.00, 7th-$500.00, 8th-$350.00, 9th-$200.00, 10th-$150.00 (this is the least that will be paid prize money will go up as we get more qualifying shows)
General Rules
SEDANS ONLY. NO USED CARS. NO wagons, 70 or older Lincolns, convertibles, convertible frames, imperials, or imperial sub frames.
All glass, chrome, pot metal and flammable materials must be removed from vehicle.
Trunks must be empty of all debris
No sandbagging, no team driving, no painting or undercoating or greasing a frame ETC. If frame has been it will not be inspected.
Frame welding exceptions>a arms forward, top seam only, ½ inch wide welds max. 12 inches of weld behind arms but no further back center of front doors ½ inch wide welds. This does not have to be continuous.
Pitching and rotating frame is allowed.
Unibody cars may weld both seams forward but may not fold over and pinch weld. K members may not be welded to unibody in any way, may have solid spacers ¾ inch max.
Angle iron may be added for transmission cross member mounts no longer than 8 inches and no closer to front than OEM cross member position.
Engines may be welded to frame but only in cradle area.
Watts link conversions> on newer fords allowed must be converted to standard rear end using trailing arms and brackets off older fords or metal of the same thickness, brackets may be welded to frame one pass only and may not add strength to frame in any way.
Bumpers and brackets are allowed to be welded to frame; to pieces of all thread in trunk area may be welded to frame.
Bumpers and Brackets
80 & newer bumpers only may be stuffed between frame rails but must be retained within factory skins and no homemade pointys.
Bumper chrome may be welded to backing no added metal.
All bumper brackets must be passenger car origin, No rear brackets on front.
All bumper brackets and shocks must be mounted outside the frame unless factory shocks were mounted inside the frame example:( 80’s fords) Cadillac’s and Y frame Chryslers must be mounted on outside of frame.
Bumpers and brackets may be welded solid to frame: no bracket may extend further back than 10 inches from center of original core support bolt.
Two 4x8x ¼ inch straps per bumper may be welded to frame or to body or two ¾ x8 inch all thread may be used with four inch washers max, washers cannot be welded.
Bumper height from ground 16 inches min. 22 inches max. from bottom of bumper.
Doors
All doors may be welded solid, 4 inch by ¼ inch max. Outside only, Top of doors may be folded and welded with maximum of ½ x ¼ straps.
Hoods
Hoods may be bolted wired or chained shut, 6 hood bolts 1 inch max. 5 inch washers max. must be free floating only, front two bolts may go thru frame not to be welded to frame, other four must be sheet metal to sheet metal. You are allowed a 6 inch gusset to retain hood bolt to body not to frame.
Two chains or two spots of wire from bumper to hood 3 inch max. Washers may be welded were chain or wire meets hood. Will be allowed to use 3/8 bolts with 1 inch OD washers around cut outs in hood, 16 bolts max.
No hood handles.
Trunks
Trunk lids must remain on hinges. Tucking, V’ing is allowed, no wedging allowed. Quarter panels must remain vertical within 3 inches of OEM position (do not fold panels). You may use four ¾ all thread 2 must go thru factory body mounts 2 may be welded to frame vertically, In trunk area (trunk area is considered bottom of rear window to tail lights). These bolt must remain vertical, May weld six on six off with strap size of 3 x 6 x ¼ inch on the outside perimeter of trunk lid only.
No seam welding of any part of the trunk.
Fenders and Quarter panels
Do not double crease panels, all creases may only be two layers.
Quarter panels must remain vertical within 3 inches of OEM position.
Fenders may be trimmed and folded, 10 3/8 bolts with 1 inch washers may be used per fender.
Gas tank doors in quarter panel may be welded solid, no added metal.
No interior seam welding.
Body Rust Repair
Body rust repair will be allowed but will be very limited. Cars will be allowed four external repairs; sheet metal must be same thickness as body, max. 4 x 6 inch not to be welded solid. Must be weld 1 inch skip 1 inch. Floor pans may be repaired but must not reinforce car in any way, only repairs accepted are to retain gas tank, battery box, ETC. NO rust repairs on trunk floor pan.
# 9 wire
# 9 wire will be limited to; 2 spots per window, 4 wraps each, may go to frame. No nine wire around cage until after heat. (unlimited after heat)
Tires and Rims
Valve stem protectors are fine.
No strengthening of rims, except around bolt holes, No split rims, No paddle tires on rear.
Doubled tires, fork lift tires and foam filled are allowed.
Suspension / Springs
A-arms may not be reinforce frame, may add 6 inches of weld a-arm to frame no added metal. No ball joint stops. Front suspension may be locked. No coil to leaf conversions. No special lifts or air shocks. Spring spacers allowed. Mopar may have 8 inches weld to front leaf pocket to body. Rear leafs must have 2 inch arch, factory leaf cars must meet the following; 6 leafs max. 2 ½ inches wide, 2 inch stagger, 5/16 inch thick, 4 clamps per side must be mounted as factory leafs would be, U bolts 7/16 inch max. May have 2 inch diameter washer welded to frame at rear shackle, sole purpose of retaining shackle.
May be chained over humps but must have arch. OEM trailing arm are required but can be reinforced. (read axel rule also)
A-arms
A-arms must be stock, ball joints may be welded to a-arms, ball joints must be OEM automotive style, and tie rod may be reinforced but must be have OEM tie rod ends (NO hemi joints).
Rear ends
Rear ends must be OEM of passenger car origin, five lug max. , no floaters. Rear end bracing allowed. Braces for the sole purpose of strengthening rear end housing only.
Thirty three spline axels only (if anything bigger than 33 spline you must run stock trailing arms or 3 inch leaf stagger if leaf car)
Brake backing plate must be OEM no reinforcements.
Radiators / Coolers
OEM style radiators only, no home made or tube style. Must be within 2 inches of stock location. AC condensers if left in may be retained by 4, 3x6x1/4 inch straps max. , and 8- 3/8 inch bolts with 1 inch washers, straps may be welded to core support.
Tranny coolers are allowed. Must be braided lines and crimped ends (Absolutely no hose clamps or rubber lines). No other cooling system allowed.
Batteries / Fuel Tanks
Two 12v batteries max. Must be covered.
Original tank must be removed from car. No plastic tanks allowed. Tanks must be securely mounted, size of tank must in no way reinforce car or pose a hazard to driver, ( 8 gallons max. Volume will be measured by outside diameter of gas tank) Fuel lines must be secured, no rubber lines in driver’s area, electric fuel pump allowed. Gas only no alcohol allowed.
Body Mount Bolts
Body mount bolt rubbers may be removed but, must be replaced with ¾ inch spacers, must be ¾ inch gap between frame and body, body mount bolts no larger than ¾ inch with 5x5x1/4 inch washers on top side of body not to be welded to body.
May add two extra body mount bolts anywhere, bolt size may not exceed 7 inches long. All frame side washers must be inside of frame or removed for inspection. No welding of body mount bolts.
Cage / Halo / Front and Rear window protectors
Cage construction 1 of 2 ways
Option 1
Cage is allowed two side bars max. size 6 inch tubing or channel, max. Three cross bars allowed no larger than 5 inches in diameter. No curved dash bars, must be a minimum of 6 inches from center of dash, must be minimum 10 inches from floor, no higher than bottom of side windows. Rear bar may attach to front side of inner rear tire well. Four down legs allowed 6 inch wide max. Bars may attach to body, may not be within 4 inches of body mounts or body mount plates.
Option 2
You are allowed 2 side bars 60” max. and 2 cross bars. You are allowed a gas tank protector 6x24 inches may be 1.5 inches from back seat panel but, may not be attached to back seat panel, may attach to rear seat pipe. (as in option 1 4- down legs, tubing or channel size as stated in option 1)
Halo bar may be added to cage 5 inch max. diameter, may go to floor pan sheet metal but not to frame, must remain vertical (no tilting) within 12 inches of drivers seat, may only be attached to roof with 2 bolts.
Front windshield bars only, 2 ½ inch max. diameter, two bars only, may not extend more than 4 inches past windshield opening; all cross bars must be within windshield opening. The front bars are 14 inches minimum apart,
Rear window protector will be either #9 wire or max. 3/8 chain not to be welded solid. You are allowed 3 inch max. Retaining plate to attach rear window protector to.
(No cage components may be altered after inspection)
Engines and Protectors
Engines must be mounted within 3 inches of stock location, may only be mounted to engine cross member.
Will be allowed two additional straps 2x8x3/8 inches to retain engine, must be welded to cradle only and in no way strengthen the frame.
Distributor protectors are allowed, must start derby a minimum of 1 ½ inches from firewall at all points. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Aftermarket engine cradles allowed, can be no further back than 8 inches from original mounts and cannot connect to heads, water pump, or distributor, no balance protectors and in no way reinforce frame. Cradle is retain engine only.
Transmissions
Transmission coolers allowed.
If you run tranny braces , they cannot reinforce the car in any way and you will be required to cut the tranny tunnel to the inspectors satisfaction. If you run braces.
Skid plates allowed and must only protect transmission not reinforce car in any way.
Summary
These rules are the maximum guidelines for car preparation do not exceed these rules in any variation. “IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN THEN YOU CAN’T”
Absolutely no other reinforcements of body or frame is permitted only those stated in the rules.
No painting, undercoating or greasing of frames allowed if you do so your car will not be inspected.
The championship is designed to give everyone a even playing field not to be a car building competition.
Please keep to all rules stated above.
Inspection will be thorough and unbiased you may expect frame scopes, drills and a Varity of inspectors from thru out the qualifying states.
Frame Repair
All championship cars after their heat or heats can repair bent frames. All cars will be inspected for frame damage by at least two inspectors before being allowed to repair damage to frames. All plates will be supplied by CDDA. The max. will be 3 4x6 plates. No other plates will be allowed. If you do not have access to a welder they can be bolted through frame with 4 inch washers ¾ max. bolt will be allowed not provided by CDDA. These are for repair not reinforcement.

CLEAN UP HEAT RULES
We have new rules make sure you read
The auto demolition derby is open to men and women who have a valid drivers license. In fairness to all contestants, the e following rules and regulations shall prevail .
DRIVERS ENTRY
Drivers must be at least 18 years of age , or if 16, 17 years of age must have notarized permit by parent/guardian. Driver must furnish his/her own car. All drivers and pit person must sign waiver of release of liability before entering pit area or track. NO ONE UNDER 14 years of age allowed in pits or track. Entries will be accepted up to one hour prior to race time. You must be there at least one hour before show .All drivers and pit people must attend meeting prior to race time
PARTICIPANT REGULATIONS 2003 and newer vics must have stock cradle
No jeep, trucks, (rancheros, elcaminos, considered trucks) convertibles, no carryalls, hearst, limos, NO imperials or imperial sub frames allowed. #No Lincolns 61 TO 70 .Driver may maneuver forward or backward, No deliberate drivers door hits, If a driver does not hit another active car in one minute that car/driver shall be disqualified . No sandbagging if you are sandbagging the race will be stopped and a flag will be placed on your car that says sandbagger. Who ever takes you out will receive money and a plaque( sandbagger eliminator) or a plaque and advance to the feature event. This is up to promoter and will be announced at drivers meeting. .Cars must move when hit or show visible damage. Driver must remain in his/her car with helmet on until car is removed from track or officials tell you different. Make sure helmet strap is fastened if helmet keeps coming off during race you will be disqualified.
PREPARATION OF CARS
No screws allowed! pre denting & tucking o.k. Slogans, advertising , or painting may be placed any where on car except front doors and right above front doors on roof ,# MANDATORY ---> put drivers number on front doors # and middle of roof and drivers name above front doors on roof big enough and plain enough to read. ( use your choice of number if that number is already being used you will have to put a letter behind it. No profanity. all glass, chrome , pot metal, lights, carpet , head liners , back seats, fiber glass (anything flammable except front seats must be removed before reaching the exhibit area, DO NOT BREAK GLASS DOWN IN DOORS !! Trunks must be empty of all debris, spare tires , rims , parts etc. car must be clean of glass. # NO ether or any other assisted re starts.
INSIDE OF CAR*
Wagons must have spare tire flap removed or hole cut in it big enough to see in. Cars must be swept clean of all glass and debris. no seam welding inside of car . .Any althread that is horizontal must not exceed 7 inches.
ENGINES & TRANSMISSIONS,DRIVE SHAFTS
Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 3 inches of stock position. Motor mounts may be welded , motors may be chained ,# Motors must have air breather. . Transmission coolers O.K. High pressure hydraulicline recommended for this . (keep safety in mind when installing) (officials may disqualify if they think installation is unsafe) .You may tie moter down with 2-chains 2 links welded to frame , 2-straps 1 inch wide 3 inches weld to frame. or wire in addition to motor mounts. DRIVE SHAFT-any drive shaft okay.
DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTOR/ ENGINE CRADLES
DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTOR are allowed but must be no wider than 12 inches . may not be welded, bolted or connected to body, hood, or frame. Forward supports must be inside normally positioned headers and not extend past the water pump.
AFTER MARKET ENGINE CRADLES ALLOWED BUT can be no futher then 8 inches from original mounts and cannot connect to heads,water pump,or distributor protector,no balance protectors and in no way reinforce frame. cradle is to retain engine only.
BATTERIES
2 12v batteies max Must be placed in a secure position and be covered with floor mat, inner tube, or something nonflammable. Batteries must be securely fastened down.
RADIATORS & FANS
May be removed but not relocated. OEM style radiators only, no home made or tube style. AC condensers if left in may be retained by four , 3x6x1/4 inch straps max. and 8, 3/8 inch bolts with 1 inch washers, straps may be welded to core support.
GAS TANKS
Maximum of 7 gallons gas. Gas tanks must be placed in back seat area and properly secured. Tanks must be secured so there is no movement , (do not use bungee cords for this if tank is not secure you will not be running) Tanks must have secure caps and be leak proof. Lines must be leak proof. Stock gas tanks in cars must be removed or have holes punched in them and be washed out. * NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS ALLOWED NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS ALLOWED, NO PLASTIC TANKS ALLOWED # Exception plastic racing fuel cell is allowed .Must have a metal or tin shield between gas tank and driver (this may be mounted with screws)
CAGE/HALO/FRONT AND REAR WINDOW BARS
Cage may be constructed 1 of 2 ways.
OPTION 1--Cage is allowed 2 side bars max. size 6 inch tubing or channel. Max. of 3 cross bars allowed no larger than 5 inches diameter, no curved dash bars, must be a minimum of 5 inches from center of dash, must be minimum of 10 inches from floor. no higher than bottom of of side windows. Rear bar may attach to front side of inner tire well must be 2 inches off of backseat panel. 4 down legs allowed 6-inches wide max. down legs may attach to body, may not be within 4-inches of body mount bolts or body plate.
OPTION-2--You are allowed 2 side bars 60" max. and 2 cross bars(No curved dash bars). You are allowed a gas tank protector 6x24-inches must be at least 2-inches from backseat pannel, may attach to 2nd bar. 4- down legs as stated in option 1 (option 1 &2 cage must be left in same position as it passed inspection)
HALO BAR -may be added to cage 5-inch diameter max.,may go to floor pan sheet metal not to frame. Must remain vertical,(no tilting) MUST BE WITH IN 12INCHES OF DRIVERS SEAT. may only be atttached to roof with 2 bolts.
Front windsheild bars only 2 1/2 inch max. diameter, two bars only, may not exten more than 4 inches past windshield opening; all cross bars must be within windsheild opening,, the front bars are a minimum of 14 inches apart.
Rear window protector, will either be 9 wire or max. of 3/8 chain not welded solid. You are allowed 3 inch max. retaining plate to attach rear window protector.
FRONT AND BACK BUMPER -(must start with a factory bumper) may reinforce inside of bumper but must remain stock appearing and reinforced no wider then frame rails. OUT SIDE OF BUMPERS MUST BE STOCK APPEARING.

DOORS
All doors and wagon gates must be chained , wired or welded shut . All doors except wagon gates may be welded solid outside only .You may use a 3-inch strap for this.# Wagon gates may weld 4 - 3 - inch plates or bolt 4 places with 3/4 althread with washers no bigger than 4 - inch outside diameter. . Drivers door can have one bar attached 3 inches past front doors.
HOODS
If hoods are removed or fan blade is showing. belts must be cut or fan blade removed. Hoods must have two holes cut in them for fire extinguishers not directly over carburetor. Hoods you may use 6 althread no larger then 1 inch with washer no bigger then 6 inch outside diameter. Only two may go threw the frame(THESE 2 MUST BE OUTSIDE RADIATOR SUPPORT), none in front of radiator . No welding on hoods they must open for inspection. You may use sae 3/8 bolts with washers no larger than 1-inch outside diameter around header holes, fire holes no more than 20 bolts for this.
TRUNKS
Trunk you can use 4 - 1 inch althread with washer no larger than 6-inch outside diameter 2 may go through frame. You can use 10-sae 3/8 bolts with washers no larger than 1-inch outside diameter. around lip of trunk lid. or 10 1-inch welds around trunk lid. If you don't bolt you may weld trunk lid weld 6-inches leave 6-inches 3 INCH STRAP MAX. Tucking and V'ing of trunk allowed #No wedging, quarter panels must remain vertical within 3 inches of oem position. 1-trunk lid per car
BODY
# creasing of body allowed but cannot be welded or bolted. can not be double creased *no adding of skins. may patch rust hole but must be visible for inspectors. no other body seam welding except what IS stated in the rules. No seam welding.
#SEDAGON
You may sedagon a pre ran wagon but cannot exceed 4-3/4 althread with 6-inch outside diameter washers Also may use 10 3/8 bolts with washers no bigger than 1-inch outside diameter. or weld 10- 1-inch spots along with 4 althread None can go to frame.. You cannot exceed this.
FENDERS
You may trim fenders. You can bolt fenders 10 bolts per fender with bolts no bigger than sae 3/8 bolts with washers no bigger then 1-inch outside diameter. (REAR QUARTER PANEL CONSIDERED FENDER)
*TIRES*/ RIMS
# 14 PLY FORK LIFT TIRES O.K. DO NOT EXCEED THIS. For those that don't have these, tire in side of tire is o.k. Field tile inside of tire o.k V-TREAD TIRE OKAY.. NO liquid filled tires.. . No split rims, NO paddle tires. .No tires screwed to rims,valve stem protectors o k. No reinforcing of rims except around bolt holes.
SUSPENSION
No special bumpers, extra weights , no weld on shocks, no trailer hitches, special lifts , blocks, shackles, air lifts and air shocks must be deflated. A-ARMS- You may weld bolt or chain down your a arms . you are allowed either 2 straps or 1 chain or 1 bolt per side all chains, bolts , straps must be in the middle of A-arm do not weld entire A-arm down. 1-inch max nothing may contact the frame rail all attachments must be made to spring bucket only.
OLD IRON LEAF FIXING
6 Leafs max, 21/2 inches wide, 2 inch stager, longest spring 5 ft., no thicker than 5/16. 4 clamps per side. must be mounted as factory leafs would be.wagons must be done as factory.
LEAF SPRING SPECIFICATIONS
Converting coil springs to leafs is allowed but you must follow these rules. Cars that can be converted must be 80 or newer body styles no exceptions. Springs must have at least a 2 inch stager, no more than 4 clamps per side, no more than 6 springs per side( car springs only). Springs must be no more than 2 1/2 inches wide, longest spring must be no longer than 5 foot. Thickness no more then 5/16 #This will be checked with a 5/16 inch wrench.
LEAF SPRING MOUNTING
Front spring must use factory suspension hole( trailer arm hole). Reinforcement of this hole must not exceed 3 inches of center of this hole and must be done on outside of frame only and using metal no thicker than the frame. Any reinforcement found on inside of frame will be cause for immediate disqualification. No reinforcement for leaf spring hanging. Washers no bigger than 4 inches, outside bracket no longer than 8 inches total. No welding except what it takes to mount the brackets. This conversion must be as close as possible to OEM style mounting. Examples: mid 70 style GM wagons and Chryslers. If officials find you went beyond how factory leaf springs are mounted on factory leaf cars you will not be allowed to participate and no refund of entry fee . No flat sprung cars
*REAR ENDS*
Must be of OEM origin, five lug max., no floater, Rear end bracing allowed. Braces are for the sole pupose of srengthening rear end housing only. Brake backing plate must be OEM no reinforcements. Trailing arms may be lengthened or shortened must be of passenger car origin and may be reinforced.
Rear ends with bigger then 35 spline axels will be allowed to compete with stock trailing arms or if a leafed car a 4-inch stager in leafs. If driver refuses to pull axel, if any question of size of axel ,that driver shall be disqualified
Watts link conversions on newer fords: You may convert a watts-link to a standard 4 link system in the following way:
Use the upper and lower trailing arm brackets off an older ford. no shortening of trailing arms, no positioning brackets to strengthen front down legs of the rear hump. Must mount in the stock location. Use upper mount tray out of older car but must leave 2-inches of original factory package tray to weld to. May not be welded to frame. do no reweld seam welds may only weld to tray package.
A-ARM / TIE RODS / BALL JOINTS
A-ARMS covered under suspension). Tie rod ends must be factory OEM. Turn buckle may be re-enforced with sleeve. Tie rods no HEMI JOINTS. May weld in ball joints with the sole purpose of retaining ball joints in factory position only.
*FRAMES*
Welding on frames is allowed from the a-arm forward. Top seam only do not exceed 1/2 weld you can weld 12 inches max behind A arm and no further back then front of front door not to exceed 1/2 weld(I don't care how you split this up but do not exceed 12 inches).. No added metal, no concrete . Do Not reinforce frame. Notching of frame is permitted. # On used cars with damaged frames or cars with rusted frames you may patch. patch must be centered on damaged area, not to exceed 10 inches long 4 inches wide 5/16 thickness 4 patches max, must have at least 4 inches between patches ( do not cut this patches into a bunch of little ones). Frame damage must be obvious to inspectors. You may run a chain from frame to frame in the back. Cars reinforced before ran will not be allowed. The patch rule above is for repairs not for reinforcement. # Absolutely no under coating or painting on frame. Cross member may be welded but not to reinforcement. IF YOU RE SUBFRAME CAR IT MUST BE MODEL TO MODEL. Mopar and Caddys can close in the Y on the front part of frame but cannot add metal to do this.
*BODY MOUNT BOLTS*
Body mount rubbers may be removed. Mount bolts may be replaced with 3/4 inch . ** You may add two extra body mount bolts anywhere you want but do not exceed this. If extra body mounts are horizontal can not be no longer then 7 inches. #Bottom body mount washers must be inside frame. or removed for inspection. if you use all thread 2 nuts 2 washers if you use bolts 1 nut 2 washers
#SAFETY RULES & REGULATIONS
1.Cars must have two bars attached in center of windshield from roof down to dash area to prevent hood from coming in. cannot be attached to halo bar.
2. Radiator overflow hoses must be pointing at ground and fastened so they cannot shoot water towards officials or drivers.
3. Header pipes must be pointing straight up cannot be aimed toward front of car.
4. Note: if you have a hole in the fire wall it should be covered.
5. Safety belts required.
6. DOT approved helmets mandatory. Any driver using a open face helmet will not be covered by insurance if a facial injury occurs.
7. Safety glasses or shield recommended.
8. Mandatory you must wear long pants and shirt. (fire suit recommended)
9. 2-fires your out unless fuel fire then one fire your out.
10. No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed in pit area or track.
11. No pit persons allowed on track.
12. Note: management does have the right to disqualify a car/driver at any time. Protest must be made no later than 5-minutes after heat in question. No protest will be taken after feature event and only drivers may protest. Officials will re-inspect the top cars. Anything done to car to make it illegal after inspection will be disqualified.
13. If you reinforce anything besides what is stated in these rules it can be considered illegal and you will not run. Official’s decision is final.
NOTE - DECISION OF JUDGES ARE FINAL!!!!! Inspection will be thorough, scope, drills etc.

Full size truck rules 2012
Any trucks except 4 wheel drive, SUV's, Dually's or flatbeds will be allowed.
Preparartion of Trucks
Trucks must be stripped and sweept clean of all glass pot metal, carpet etc. anything flammable. Both doors must be stripped clean of window regulators and door handles inside and out. Any mouldings, trim, or emblems must be removed. All hitches including bed hitches must be removed.
FRAMES: NO welding on frames. Except for bumper mounting and drive train installation.
No patching on frames. Frames may be sectioned but may only be butt welded no over lapping or plating. No shortening of frames. Trucks must remain stock wheel base.
CAGES: At least a four point cage. No kickers to frame but may run them to cab floor.
Cage may not exceed drivers compartment. Driver's safety comes first. YOU Can have kickers from halo to in front of axel for gas tank protector
BUMPERS: Bumper height on fresh trucks must not exceed 28 inches from ground to center of bumper. Car bumpers may be used on front and back but must be OEM. Front bumpers may be reinforced inside only! Do not abuse this rule!! If car back bumpers are used on the front, the license plate recess may be filled in. If you run a rear bumper it must be trimed within 6 inches of frame rails. Front bumpers may be mounted as such, stock brackets or car shocks, or 2x4x1/4 rectangle tubing, or straight to the frame. One or the other. Shocks or tubing cna only go 8 inches back on or in the front frame. You may chain or strap front bumpers, do not exceed 4 inches back on frame with straps or chain. no pointy bumpers
ENGINE: Any motor and trans combination to any truck. Mounting may only be done on K-member and trans mount. No engine plates. Transmission coolers may be used, but must be mounted in passengers compartment. ( keep safety in mind)
SUSPENSION: No reinforcing A-arms, tire rods or drag links. Spring risers are allowed. Bolting A-arms solid is permitted, as long as you do not weld or exceed bumper height. Spring clamps may be used on rear, 2 per side.
TIRES: 16.5 or smaller DOT or implement, 8 lug or less, no split rims, no screwed rims, no studded tires no liquid filled tires.
BATTERY: battery must be mounted and covered in passenger floor board. one battery per truck.
FUEL TANK: Fuel tank must be mounted in front center of the truck bed. Steel or alluminum only no plastic. Tanks must be secure and leak prof and covered with nonflammable material. (keep safety in mind)
CAB:Cab may be bolted solid to frame. Four places max. This can be done with 3/4 althread and 6x6 plates at 1/4 inch thiskness max. At least one windshield bar from roof down to cowl. Doors may be welded solid using no more then 1/8 inch and no wider then 3 inches.
RADIATORS: Radiators must remain in stock position or can be removed. No radiator protectors. If metal is added to mount readiator, keep it to minimum.
DRIVESHAFT: Any diveshaft to any truck, but you must have a safety loop ( this can be done with a piece of chain from frame rail to frame rail under driveshaft)
REAREND: Any 8 lug or less rearend maybe used. rearend maybe welded.
FENDERS: 10 bolts per fender. fenders maybe tucked and welded. Do not add metal.
HOOD: Hood panels may be bolted or welded together. Bolts may be no larger then 3/8 diameter with 1 inch diameter washer limit 20. A 12 inch hole must be cut in hood above carborator if header holes are not cut. Header holes must be cut plenty big for fire extinguishers to fit. Hoods may be bolted shut in 6 places. This can be done with 3/4 althread or smaller 6x6x1/4 inch paltes. Only 2 can go through frame. In addition you can use #9 wire from hood to bumper (6 strands Max) Hoods must open for inspection.
BED: Bed bolts may be replaced with 3/4 allthread and 6x6x1/4 plates. No more then 8 places and these may go through frame. You may have 2 additional bolts go from the front of the bed through the back of the cab. Bed may be welded to cab using 1/8x3 flat may be welded solid. Tail gate may be welded solid if left up.
If bed sides are folded down, tailgate must remain behind wheel wells. Sides and tail gate may be bolted down with 2 additional 3/4 allthread(one per side) but may only go through bed floor. You may use #9 wire in the bed but only in 4 places. You may go to bed bolts but not to frame. Bed panels may be welded together using 11/2x11/2x1/8 inch angle iron . Angle may be only 4 inches long and at least 6 inches apart. You may use a total of 16 angles inside of bed. INSIDE only not on the bed rails.

Driver Entry
Championship is open to the top 3 positions from qualifying events and the hardest hitter, unless a super qualifier Then top 5 positions and hardest hitter qualifies.
Drivers must me 18 years old or if under 18 yrs. must have a notarized parental consent.
No one under 14 yrs. Allowed in pits.
Prize Money
1st-$3250.00, 2nd-$1800.00, 3rd-$1200.00, 4th-$1000.00, 5th-$750.00, 6th-$600.00, 7th-$500.00, 8th-$350.00, 9th-$200.00, 10th-$150.00 (this is the least that will be paid prize money will go up as we get more qualifying shows)
General Rules
SEDANS ONLY. NO USED CARS. NO wagons, 70 or older Lincolns, convertibles, convertible frames, imperials, or imperial sub frames.
All glass, chrome, pot metal and flammable materials must be removed from vehicle.
Trunks must be empty of all debris
No sandbagging, no team driving, no painting or undercoating or greasing a frame ETC. If frame has been it will not be inspected.
Frame welding exceptions>a arms forward, top seam only, ½ inch wide welds max. 12 inches of weld behind arms but no further back center of front doors ½ inch wide welds. This does not have to be continuous.
Pitching and rotating frame is allowed.
Unibody cars may weld both seams forward but may not fold over and pinch weld. K members may not be welded to unibody in any way, may have solid spacers ¾ inch max.
Angle iron may be added for transmission cross member mounts no longer than 8 inches and no closer to front than OEM cross member position.
Engines may be welded to frame but only in cradle area.
Watts link conversions> on newer fords allowed must be converted to standard rear end using trailing arms and brackets off older fords or metal of the same thickness, brackets may be welded to frame one pass only and may not add strength to frame in any way.
Bumpers and brackets are allowed to be welded to frame; to pieces of all thread in trunk area may be welded to frame.
Bumpers and Brackets
80 & newer bumpers only may be stuffed between frame rails but must be retained within factory skins and no homemade pointys.
Bumper chrome may be welded to backing no added metal.
All bumper brackets must be passenger car origin, No rear brackets on front.
All bumper brackets and shocks must be mounted outside the frame unless factory shocks were mounted inside the frame example:( 80’s fords) Cadillac’s and Y frame Chryslers must be mounted on outside of frame.
Bumpers and brackets may be welded solid to frame: no bracket may extend further back than 10 inches from center of original core support bolt.
Two 4x8x ¼ inch straps per bumper may be welded to frame or to body or two ¾ x8 inch all thread may be used with four inch washers max, washers cannot be welded.
Bumper height from ground 16 inches min. 22 inches max. from bottom of bumper.
Doors
All doors may be welded solid, 4 inch by ¼ inch max. Outside only, Top of doors may be folded and welded with maximum of ½ x ¼ straps.
Hoods
Hoods may be bolted wired or chained shut, 6 hood bolts 1 inch max. 5 inch washers max. must be free floating only, front two bolts may go thru frame not to be welded to frame, other four must be sheet metal to sheet metal. You are allowed a 6 inch gusset to retain hood bolt to body not to frame.
Two chains or two spots of wire from bumper to hood 3 inch max. Washers may be welded were chain or wire meets hood. Will be allowed to use 3/8 bolts with 1 inch OD washers around cut outs in hood, 16 bolts max.
No hood handles.
Trunks
Trunk lids must remain on hinges. Tucking, V’ing is allowed, no wedging allowed. Quarter panels must remain vertical within 3 inches of OEM position (do not fold panels). You may use four ¾ all thread 2 must go thru factory body mounts 2 may be welded to frame vertically, In trunk area (trunk area is considered bottom of rear window to tail lights). These bolt must remain vertical, May weld six on six off with strap size of 3 x 6 x ¼ inch on the outside perimeter of trunk lid only.
No seam welding of any part of the trunk.
Fenders and Quarter panels
Do not double crease panels, all creases may only be two layers.
Quarter panels must remain vertical within 3 inches of OEM position.
Fenders may be trimmed and folded, 10 3/8 bolts with 1 inch washers may be used per fender.
Gas tank doors in quarter panel may be welded solid, no added metal.
No interior seam welding.
Body Rust Repair
Body rust repair will be allowed but will be very limited. Cars will be allowed four external repairs; sheet metal must be same thickness as body, max. 4 x 6 inch not to be welded solid. Must be weld 1 inch skip 1 inch. Floor pans may be repaired but must not reinforce car in any way, only repairs accepted are to retain gas tank, battery box, ETC. NO rust repairs on trunk floor pan.
# 9 wire
# 9 wire will be limited to; 2 spots per window, 4 wraps each, may go to frame. No nine wire around cage until after heat. (unlimited after heat)
Tires and Rims
Valve stem protectors are fine.
No strengthening of rims, except around bolt holes, No split rims, No paddle tires on rear.
Doubled tires, fork lift tires and foam filled are allowed.
Suspension / Springs
A-arms may not be reinforce frame, may add 6 inches of weld a-arm to frame no added metal. No ball joint stops. Front suspension may be locked. No coil to leaf conversions. No special lifts or air shocks. Spring spacers allowed. Mopar may have 8 inches weld to front leaf pocket to body. Rear leafs must have 2 inch arch, factory leaf cars must meet the following; 6 leafs max. 2 ½ inches wide, 2 inch stagger, 5/16 inch thick, 4 clamps per side must be mounted as factory leafs would be, U bolts 7/16 inch max. May have 2 inch diameter washer welded to frame at rear shackle, sole purpose of retaining shackle.
May be chained over humps but must have arch. OEM trailing arm are required but can be reinforced. (read axel rule also)
A-arms
A-arms must be stock, ball joints may be welded to a-arms, ball joints must be OEM automotive style, and tie rod may be reinforced but must be have OEM tie rod ends (NO hemi joints).
Rear ends
Rear ends must be OEM of passenger car origin, five lug max. , no floaters. Rear end bracing allowed. Braces for the sole purpose of strengthening rear end housing only.
Thirty three spline axels only (if anything bigger than 33 spline you must run stock trailing arms or 3 inch leaf stagger if leaf car)
Brake backing plate must be OEM no reinforcements.
Radiators / Coolers
OEM style radiators only, no home made or tube style. Must be within 2 inches of stock location. AC condensers if left in may be retained by 4, 3x6x1/4 inch straps max. , and 8- 3/8 inch bolts with 1 inch washers, straps may be welded to core support.
Tranny coolers are allowed. Must be braided lines and crimped ends (Absolutely no hose clamps or rubber lines). No other cooling system allowed.
Batteries / Fuel Tanks
Two 12v batteries max. Must be covered.
Original tank must be removed from car. No plastic tanks allowed. Tanks must be securely mounted, size of tank must in no way reinforce car or pose a hazard to driver, ( 8 gallons max. Volume will be measured by outside diameter of gas tank) Fuel lines must be secured, no rubber lines in driver’s area, electric fuel pump allowed. Gas only no alcohol allowed.
Body Mount Bolts
Body mount bolt rubbers may be removed but, must be replaced with ¾ inch spacers, must be ¾ inch gap between frame and body, body mount bolts no larger than ¾ inch with 5x5x1/4 inch washers on top side of body not to be welded to body.
May add two extra body mount bolts anywhere, bolt size may not exceed 7 inches long. All frame side washers must be inside of frame or removed for inspection. No welding of body mount bolts.
Cage / Halo / Front and Rear window protectors
Cage construction 1 of 2 ways
Option 1
Cage is allowed two side bars max. size 6 inch tubing or channel, max. Three cross bars allowed no larger than 5 inches in diameter. No curved dash bars, must be a minimum of 6 inches from center of dash, must be minimum 10 inches from floor, no higher than bottom of side windows. Rear bar may attach to front side of inner rear tire well. Four down legs allowed 6 inch wide max. Bars may attach to body, may not be within 4 inches of body mounts or body mount plates.
Option 2
You are allowed 2 side bars 60” max. and 2 cross bars. You are allowed a gas tank protector 6x24 inches may be 1.5 inches from back seat panel but, may not be attached to back seat panel, may attach to rear seat pipe. (as in option 1 4- down legs, tubing or channel size as stated in option 1)
Halo bar may be added to cage 5 inch max. diameter, may go to floor pan sheet metal but not to frame, must remain vertical (no tilting) within 12 inches of drivers seat, may only be attached to roof with 2 bolts.
Front windshield bars only, 2 ½ inch max. diameter, two bars only, may not extend more than 4 inches past windshield opening; all cross bars must be within windshield opening. The front bars are 14 inches minimum apart,
Rear window protector will be either #9 wire or max. 3/8 chain not to be welded solid. You are allowed 3 inch max. Retaining plate to attach rear window protector to.
(No cage components may be altered after inspection)
Engines and Protectors
Engines must be mounted within 3 inches of stock location, may only be mounted to engine cross member.
Will be allowed two additional straps 2x8x3/8 inches to retain engine, must be welded to cradle only and in no way strengthen the frame.
Distributor protectors are allowed, must start derby a minimum of 1 ½ inches from firewall at all points. (NO EXCEPTIONS)
Aftermarket engine cradles allowed, can be no further back than 8 inches from original mounts and cannot connect to heads, water pump, or distributor, no balance protectors and in no way reinforce frame. Cradle is retain engine only.
Transmissions
Transmission coolers allowed.
If you run tranny braces , they cannot reinforce the car in any way and you will be required to cut the tranny tunnel to the inspectors satisfaction. If you run braces.
Skid plates allowed and must only protect transmission not reinforce car in any way.
Summary
These rules are the maximum guidelines for car preparation do not exceed these rules in any variation. “IF IT DOESN’T SAY YOU CAN THEN YOU CAN’T”
Absolutely no other reinforcements of body or frame is permitted only those stated in the rules.
No painting, undercoating or greasing of frames allowed if you do so your car will not be inspected.
The championship is designed to give everyone a even playing field not to be a car building competition.
Please keep to all rules stated above.
Inspection will be thorough and unbiased you may expect frame scopes, drills and a Varity of inspectors from thru out the qualifying states.
Frame Repair
All championship cars after their heat or heats can repair bent frames. All cars will be inspected for frame damage by at least two inspectors before being allowed to repair damage to frames. All plates will be supplied by CDDA. The max. will be 3 4x6 plates. No other plates will be allowed. If you do not have access to a welder they can be bolted through frame with 4 inch washers ¾ max. bolt will be allowed not provided by CDDA. These are for repair not reinforcement.

We have new rules make sure you read
The auto demolition derby is open to men and women who have a valid drivers license. In fairness to all contestants, the e following rules and regulations shall prevail .
DRIVERS ENTRY
Drivers must be at least 18 years of age , or if 16, 17 years of age must have notarized permit by parent/guardian. Driver must furnish his/her own car. All drivers and pit person must sign waiver of release of liability before entering pit area or track. NO ONE UNDER 14 years of age allowed in pits or track. Entries will be accepted up to one hour prior to race time. You must be there at least one hour before show .All drivers and pit people must attend meeting prior to race time
PARTICIPANT REGULATIONS 2003 and newer vics must have stock cradle
No jeep, trucks, (rancheros, elcaminos, considered trucks) convertibles, no carryalls, hearst, limos, NO imperials or imperial sub frames allowed. #No Lincolns 61 TO 70 .Driver may maneuver forward or backward, No deliberate drivers door hits, If a driver does not hit another active car in one minute that car/driver shall be disqualified . No sandbagging if you are sandbagging the race will be stopped and a flag will be placed on your car that says sandbagger. Who ever takes you out will receive money and a plaque( sandbagger eliminator) or a plaque and advance to the feature event. This is up to promoter and will be announced at drivers meeting. .Cars must move when hit or show visible damage. Driver must remain in his/her car with helmet on until car is removed from track or officials tell you different. Make sure helmet strap is fastened if helmet keeps coming off during race you will be disqualified.
PREPARATION OF CARS
No screws allowed! pre denting & tucking o.k. Slogans, advertising , or painting may be placed any where on car except front doors and right above front doors on roof ,# MANDATORY ---> put drivers number on front doors # and middle of roof and drivers name above front doors on roof big enough and plain enough to read. ( use your choice of number if that number is already being used you will have to put a letter behind it. No profanity. all glass, chrome , pot metal, lights, carpet , head liners , back seats, fiber glass (anything flammable except front seats must be removed before reaching the exhibit area, DO NOT BREAK GLASS DOWN IN DOORS !! Trunks must be empty of all debris, spare tires , rims , parts etc. car must be clean of glass. # NO ether or any other assisted re starts.
INSIDE OF CAR*
Wagons must have spare tire flap removed or hole cut in it big enough to see in. Cars must be swept clean of all glass and debris. no seam welding inside of car . .Any althread that is horizontal must not exceed 7 inches.
ENGINES & TRANSMISSIONS,DRIVE SHAFTS
Any engine or transmission may be used in any car, but must be mounted within 3 inches of stock position. Motor mounts may be welded , motors may be chained ,# Motors must have air breather. . Transmission coolers O.K. High pressure hydraulicline recommended for this . (keep safety in mind when installing) (officials may disqualify if they think installation is unsafe) .You may tie moter down with 2-chains 2 links welded to frame , 2-straps 1 inch wide 3 inches weld to frame. or wire in addition to motor mounts. DRIVE SHAFT-any drive shaft okay.
DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTOR/ ENGINE CRADLES
DISTRIBUTOR PROTECTOR are allowed but must be no wider than 12 inches . may not be welded, bolted or connected to body, hood, or frame. Forward supports must be inside normally positioned headers and not extend past the water pump.
AFTER MARKET ENGINE CRADLES ALLOWED BUT can be no futher then 8 inches from original mounts and cannot connect to heads,water pump,or distributor protector,no balance protectors and in no way reinforce frame. cradle is to retain engine only.
BATTERIES
2 12v batteies max Must be placed in a secure position and be covered with floor mat, inner tube, or something nonflammable. Batteries must be securely fastened down.

GAS TANKS
Maximum of 7 gallons gas. Gas tanks must be placed in back seat area and properly secured. Tanks must be secured so there is no movement , (do not use bungee cords for this if tank is not secure you will not be running) Tanks must have secure caps and be leak proof. Lines must be leak proof. Stock gas tanks in cars must be removed or have holes punched in them and be washed out. * NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS ALLOWED NO PLASTIC GAS TANKS ALLOWED, NO PLASTIC TANKS ALLOWED # Exception plastic racing fuel cell is allowed .Must have a metal or tin shield between gas tank and driver (this may be mounted with screws)
CAGE/HALO/FRONT AND REAR WINDOW BARS
Cage may be constructed 1 of 2 ways.
OPTION 1--Cage is allowed 2 side bars max. size 6 inch tubing or channel. Max. of 3 cross bars allowed no larger than 5 inches diameter, no curved dash bars, must be a minimum of 5 inches from center of dash, must be minimum of 10 inches from floor. no higher than bottom of of side windows. Rear bar may attach to front side of inner tire well must be 2 inches off of backseat panel. 4 down legs allowed 6-inches wide max. down legs may attach to body, may not be within 4-inches of body mount bolts or body plate.

HALO BAR -may be added to cage 5-inch diameter max.,may go to floor pan sheet metal not to frame. Must remain vertical,(no tilting) MUST BE WITH IN 12INCHES OF DRIVERS SEAT. may only be atttached to roof with 2 bolts.
Front windsheild bars only 2 1/2 inch max. diameter, two bars only, may not exten more than 4 inches past windshield opening; all cross bars must be within windsheild opening,, the front bars are a minimum of 14 inches apart.
Rear window protector, will either be 9 wire or max. of 3/8 chain not welded solid. You are allowed 3 inch max. retaining plate to attach rear window protector.
FRONT AND BACK BUMPER -(must start with a factory bumper) may reinforce inside of bumper but must remain stock appearing and reinforced no wider then frame rails. OUT SIDE OF BUMPERS MUST BE STOCK APPEARING.
All bumpers and brackets must be passenger car origin,no rear brackets on front. All brackets and shocks must be mounted outside of frame unless factory shock were mounted inside frame example (80's ford) Cadillac’s and y frame Chryslers must be mounted outside frame.
Bumpers and brackets may be welded solid to frame; no bracket may extend further back than 10-inches from center of original core support bolt, 2-4x8x1/4 inch straps per bumper may be welded to frame to hold bumper on only. or 2 3/4 all thread may be used with 4-inch washer max. Washer cannot be welded.
Bumper height from ground 16 inches min. 22-inches max. from bottom of bumper.
*For front of cars you must use front bumper brackets no rear brackets on front. (oem) anything excessive will not be allowed.
DOORS
All doors and wagon gates must be chained , wired or welded shut . All doors except wagon gates may be welded solid outside only .You may use a 3-inch strap for this.# Wagon gates may weld 4 - 3 - inch plates or bolt 4 places with 3/4 althread with washers no bigger than 4 - inch outside diameter. . Drivers door can have one bar attached 3 inches past front doors.
HOODS
If hoods are removed or fan blade is showing. belts must be cut or fan blade removed. Hoods must have two holes cut in them for fire extinguishers not directly over carburetor. Hoods you may use 6 althread no larger then 1 inch with washer no bigger then 6 inch outside diameter. Only two may go threw the frame(THESE 2 MUST BE OUTSIDE RADIATOR SUPPORT), none in front of radiator . No welding on hoods they must open for inspection. You may use sae 3/8 bolts with washers no larger than 1-inch outside diameter around header holes, fire holes no more than 20 bolts for this.
TRUNKS
Trunk you can use 4 - 1 inch althread with washer no larger than 6-inch outside diameter 2 may go through frame. You can use 10-sae 3/8 bolts with washers no larger than 1-inch outside diameter. around lip of trunk lid. or 10 1-inch welds around trunk lid. If you don't bolt you may weld trunk lid weld 6-inches leave 6-inches 3 INCH STRAP MAX. Tucking and V'ing of trunk allowed #No wedging, quarter panels must remain vertical within 3 inches of oem position. 1-trunk lid per car
BODY
# creasing of body allowed but cannot be welded or bolted. can not be double creased *no adding of skins. may patch rust hole but must be visible for inspectors. no other body seam welding except what IS stated in the rules. No seam welding.
#SEDAGON
You may sedagon a pre ran wagon but cannot exceed 4-3/4 althread with 6-inch outside diameter washers Also may use 10 3/8 bolts with washers no bigger than 1-inch outside diameter. or weld 10- 1-inch spots along with 4 althread None can go to frame.. You cannot exceed this.
FENDERS
You may trim fenders. You can bolt fenders 10 bolts per fender with bolts no bigger than sae 3/8 bolts with washers no bigger then 1-inch outside diameter. (REAR QUARTER PANEL CONSIDERED FENDER)
*TIRES*/ RIMS
# 14 PLY FORK LIFT TIRES O.K. DO NOT EXCEED THIS. For those that don't have these, tire in side of tire is o.k. Field tile inside of tire o.k V-TREAD TIRE OKAY.. NO liquid filled tires.. . No split rims, NO paddle tires. .No tires screwed to rims,valve stem protectors o k. No reinforcing of rims except around bolt holes.
SUSPENSION
No special bumpers, extra weights , no weld on shocks, no trailer hitches, special lifts , blocks, shackles, air lifts and air shocks must be deflated. A-ARMS- You may weld bolt or chain down your a arms . you are allowed either 2 straps or 1 chain or 1 bolt per side all chains, bolts , straps must be in the middle of A-arm do not weld entire A-arm down. 1-inch max nothing may contact the frame rail all attachments must be made to spring bucket only.
OLD IRON LEAF FIXING
6 Leafs max, 21/2 inches wide, 2 inch stager, longest spring 5 ft., no thicker than 5/16. 4 clamps per side. must be mounted as factory leafs would be.wagons must be done as factory.
LEAF SPRING SPECIFICATIONS
Converting coil springs to leafs is allowed but you must follow these rules. Cars that can be converted must be 80 or newer body styles no exceptions. Springs must have at least a 2 inch stager, no more than 4 clamps per side, no more than 6 springs per side( car springs only). Springs must be no more than 2 1/2 inches wide, longest spring must be no longer than 5 foot. Thickness no more then 5/16 #This will be checked with a 5/16 inch wrench.
LEAF SPRING MOUNTING
Front spring must use factory suspension hole( trailer arm hole). Reinforcement of this hole must not exceed 3 inches of center of this hole and must be done on outside of frame only and using metal no thicker than the frame. Any reinforcement found on inside of frame will be cause for immediate disqualification. No reinforcement for leaf spring hanging. Washers no bigger than 4 inches, outside bracket no longer than 8 inches total. No welding except what it takes to mount the brackets. This conversion must be as close as possible to OEM style mounting. Examples: mid 70 style GM wagons and Chryslers. If officials find you went beyond how factory leaf springs are mounted on factory leaf cars you will not be allowed to participate and no refund of entry fee . No flat sprung cars
*REAR ENDS*
Must be of OEM origin, five lug max., no floater, Rear end bracing allowed. Braces are for the sole pupose of srengthening rear end housing only. Brake backing plate must be OEM no reinforcements. Trailing arms may be lengthened or shortened must be of passenger car origin and may be reinforced.
Rear ends with bigger then 35 spline axels will be allowed to compete with stock trailing arms or if a leafed car a 4-inch stager in leafs. If driver refuses to pull axel, if any question of size of axel ,that driver shall be disqualified
Watts link conversions on newer fords: You may convert a watts-link to a standard 4 link system in the following way:
Use the upper and lower trailing arm brackets off an older ford. no shortening of trailing arms, no positioning brackets to strengthen front down legs of the rear hump. Must mount in the stock location. Use upper mount tray out of older car but must leave 2-inches of original factory package tray to weld to. May not be welded to frame. do no reweld seam welds may only weld to tray package.
A-ARM / TIE RODS / BALL JOINTS
A-ARMS covered under suspension). Tie rod ends must be factory OEM. Turn buckle may be re-enforced with sleeve. Tie rods no HEMI JOINTS. May weld in ball joints with the sole purpose of retaining ball joints in factory position only.
*FRAMES*
Welding on frames is allowed from the a-arm forward. Top seam only do not exceed 1/2 weld you can weld 12 inches max behind A arm and no further back then front of front door not to exceed 1/2 weld(I don't care how you split this up but do not exceed 12 inches).. No added metal, no concrete . Do Not reinforce frame. Notching of frame is permitted. # On used cars with damaged frames or cars with rusted frames you may patch. patch must be centered on damaged area, not to exceed 10 inches long 4 inches wide 5/16 thickness 4 patches max, must have at least 4 inches between patches ( do not cut this patches into a bunch of little ones). Frame damage must be obvious to inspectors. You may run a chain from frame to frame in the back. Cars reinforced before ran will not be allowed. The patch rule above is for repairs not for reinforcement. # Absolutely no under coating or painting on frame. Cross member may be welded but not to reinforcement. IF YOU RE SUBFRAME CAR IT MUST BE MODEL TO MODEL. Mopar and Caddys can close in the Y on the front part of frame but cannot add metal to do this.
*BODY MOUNT BOLTS*
Body mount rubbers may be removed. Mount bolts may be replaced with 3/4 inch . ** You may add two extra body mount bolts anywhere you want but do not exceed this. If extra body mounts are horizontal can not be no longer then 7 inches. #Bottom body mount washers must be inside frame. or removed for inspection. if you use all thread 2 nuts 2 washers if you use bolts 1 nut 2 washers
#SAFETY RULES & REGULATIONS
1.Cars must have two bars attached in center of windshield from roof down to dash area to prevent hood from coming in. cannot be attached to halo bar.
2. Radiator overflow hoses must be pointing at ground and fastened so they cannot shoot water towards officials or drivers.
3. Header pipes must be pointing straight up cannot be aimed toward front of car.
4. Note: if you have a hole in the fire wall it should be covered.
5. Safety belts required.
6. DOT approved helmets mandatory. Any driver using a open face helmet will not be covered by insurance if a facial injury occurs.
7. Safety glasses or shield recommended.
8. Mandatory you must wear long pants and shirt. (fire suit recommended)
9. 2-fires your out unless fuel fire then one fire your out.
10. No alcoholic beverages or drugs allowed in pit area or track.
11. No pit persons allowed on track.
12. Note: management does have the right to disqualify a car/driver at any time. Protest must be made no later than 5-minutes after heat in question. No protest will be taken after feature event and only drivers may protest. Officials will re-inspect the top cars. Anything done to car to make it illegal after inspection will be disqualified.
13. If you reinforce anything besides what is stated in these rules it can be considered illegal and you will not run. Official’s decision is final.
NOTE - DECISION OF JUDGES ARE FINAL!!!!! Inspection will be thorough, scope, drills etc.

Full size truck rules 2012
Any trucks except 4 wheel drive, SUV's, Dually's or flatbeds will be allowed.
Preparartion of Trucks
Trucks must be stripped and sweept clean of all glass pot metal, carpet etc. anything flammable. Both doors must be stripped clean of window regulators and door handles inside and out. Any mouldings, trim, or emblems must be removed. All hitches including bed hitches must be removed.
FRAMES: NO welding on frames. Except for bumper mounting and drive train installation.
No patching on frames. Frames may be sectioned but may only be butt welded no over lapping or plating. No shortening of frames. Trucks must remain stock wheel base.
CAGES: At least a four point cage. No kickers to frame but may run them to cab floor.
Cage may not exceed drivers compartment. Driver's safety comes first. YOU Can have kickers from halo to in front of axel for gas tank protector
BUMPERS: Bumper height on fresh trucks must not exceed 28 inches from ground to center of bumper. Car bumpers may be used on front and back but must be OEM. Front bumpers may be reinforced inside only! Do not abuse this rule!! If car back bumpers are used on the front, the license plate recess may be filled in. If you run a rear bumper it must be trimed within 6 inches of frame rails. Front bumpers may be mounted as such, stock brackets or car shocks, or 2x4x1/4 rectangle tubing, or straight to the frame. One or the other. Shocks or tubing cna only go 8 inches back on or in the front frame. You may chain or strap front bumpers, do not exceed 4 inches back on frame with straps or chain. no pointy bumpers
ENGINE: Any motor and trans combination to any truck. Mounting may only be done on K-member and trans mount. No engine plates. Transmission coolers may be used, but must be mounted in passengers compartment. ( keep safety in mind)
SUSPENSION: No reinforcing A-arms, tire rods or drag links. Spring risers are allowed. Bolting A-arms solid is permitted, as long as you do not weld or exceed bumper height. Spring clamps may be used on rear, 2 per side.
TIRES: 16.5 or smaller DOT or implement, 8 lug or less, no split rims, no screwed rims, no studded tires no liquid filled tires.
BATTERY: battery must be mounted and covered in passenger floor board. one battery per truck.
FUEL TANK: Fuel tank must be mounted in front center of the truck bed. Steel or alluminum only no plastic. Tanks must be secure and leak prof and covered with nonflammable material. (keep safety in mind)
CAB:Cab may be bolted solid to frame. Four places max. This can be done with 3/4 althread and 6x6 plates at 1/4 inch thiskness max. At least one windshield bar from roof down to cowl. Doors may be welded solid using no more then 1/8 inch and no wider then 3 inches.
RADIATORS: Radiators must remain in stock position or can be removed. No radiator protectors. If metal is added to mount readiator, keep it to minimum.
DRIVESHAFT: Any diveshaft to any truck, but you must have a safety loop ( this can be done with a piece of chain from frame rail to frame rail under driveshaft)
REAREND: Any 8 lug or less rearend maybe used. rearend maybe welded.
FENDERS: 10 bolts per fender. fenders maybe tucked and welded. Do not add metal.
HOOD: Hood panels may be bolted or welded together. Bolts may be no larger then 3/8 diameter with 1 inch diameter washer limit 20. A 12 inch hole must be cut in hood above carborator if header holes are not cut. Header holes must be cut plenty big for fire extinguishers to fit. Hoods may be bolted shut in 6 places. This can be done with 3/4 althread or smaller 6x6x1/4 inch paltes. Only 2 can go through frame. In addition you can use #9 wire from hood to bumper (6 strands Max) Hoods must open for inspection.
BED: Bed bolts may be replaced with 3/4 allthread and 6x6x1/4 plates. No more then 8 places and these may go through frame. You may have 2 additional bolts go from the front of the bed through the back of the cab. Bed may be welded to cab using 1/8x3 flat may be welded solid. Tail gate may be welded solid if left up.
If bed sides are folded down, tailgate must remain behind wheel wells. Sides and tail gate may be bolted down with 2 additional 3/4 allthread(one per side) but may only go through bed floor. You may use #9 wire in the bed but only in 4 places. You may go to bed bolts but not to frame. Bed panels may be welded together using 11/2x11/2x1/8 inch angle iron . Angle may be only 4 inches long and at least 6 inches apart. You may use a total of 16 angles inside of bed. INSIDE only not on the bed rails.
