OK I talked to a couple of guys who know what is going on and I will try to explain it. We plan on having four(4) classes. Hobo Class number 1 is for no pre ran or pre bent cars.Winner gets $1000.-----Hobo class number 2 is for pre ran and prebent cars. No welding whatsoever except as stated in hobo rules. This includes welded rear ends and they tell me they might check for them. Winner gets $1000.----Class number 3 is compacts. Winner gets $500. Class number 4 is old iron. Winner gets $1000. Rules for compacts and old iron can be found in previous events under Anderson Coumty or Garnett Derby Hope this help clear things up.

Looks to me like pretty quick and easy $1000 to win the non pre ran or pre bent Hobo class as not have to spend a lot of time or money to get the car ready. Mainly remove glass and conbustibles and relocate battery and fuel tank, add driver protection and you are ready to go. Then you have a car prepared for future pre ran cars.

I have had three phone( which shows interest) calls this afternoon wondering if we will have "heats" in our two hobo classes. Depends on the number showing up. Used to have heats for hobo cars back in the old days. We will take the drivers into consideration on their thoughts but need to do what it takes to make a good show. Keep the phone calls coming.

I doubt it is out of the question. You can find the rules on 2011 past events on page 2 under Anderson Co Demolition Derby. And by all means call Allen at 785-448-7770. and he will give you a definate "YES" or "NO" answer. Hope to see you there.

Temp rain date looking at the forcast is one week later August 16th. Hope we do not have to use rain date for derby sake, but for soybeans in our area, OK
