I think it's two weeks after Winfield. Harper is the weekend after Winfield.

speaking of caldwell derby, why dont they have rules on here? the only people that get the copy of rules are the people that ran the previous year.

SHOULD BE SAME RULES AS WINFIELD, BUT YOU CAN RUN WHATEVER ENGINE YOU WANT. AND. TRYING TO SORT OUT THE CONFLICTING RULE OF "9 WIRE CAN BE USED,BUT NOT FOR REINFORCEMENT".... THATS A HEAD SCRATCHER....

Yes.... The way I understand it, you can run unlimited 9 wire, but it cannot be used to reinforce your car so I'm just going to throw a bunch of roles in mine for sheer weight advantage....You can run gears too I believe.....

ok so #9 wire cant be used to support the car? Why put it on? I have 9 wire going from halo to frame to keep the belly off the ground. is that support? god i dont wanna go through inspection 100 times. thats just miserable.

I've not read the rules just figured a Winfield car would pass inspection. If we can't run #9 wire I won't be running as I have zero chains in my car. It's all wire.

One should probably call Scott to know for sure, but all joking aside, this is how I figure.... The rules this year read that you can use unlimited 9 wire somewhere towards the beginning. Then later, towards the end they state that you may not use 9 wire to reinforce the car in any way (which is how they read last year). We all know where assuming gets you, but I dare say when they jumped on board with Winfield and Harper (besides running any motor you want) they added that you may use unlimited nine wire to follow suit and forgot to remove the "no none wire" rule...

I still do not understand the "unlimited nine wire" rule at Winfield. Does it mean I can add 100 pounds everywhere on my car or I can do as many wraps as I want in the positions it says....I did both. Lol. It should pass Harper. Lol

the way they inspected the last bash in harper last year, the weld cars probably could have made it in though. luckily the bolt cars pretty much all ran in winfield so unless they went home and revised a little i assume we were all built pretty well the same. it was a pretty fun derby though......well for most of us...coughbarclaycough! hope they do it again.
