$45 for your team of 3 mowers
Mower check-in- 10:00-12:00
1.5miles south of the high school on 2100rd watch for signs
Concessions by Prairie Star Ranch Camp and Boy and Girl Scouts camp
1. Mower must be a factory available lawn mower or garden tractor (NO HOME MADE FRAMES)
2. No rear engine lawn mowers are allowed.
3. Engine must be factory lawn mower engine such as Briggs & Stratton, Tecumseh, and Onan ETC.
4. All frame modifications and frame reinforcing will be allowed
5. Transaxles must be factory available mower transaxles but any reinforcing and or welding of spider gears is permitted.
6. All mowers must run a factory hood and fenders and have the hood either screwed or welded down to the dash panel around driver’s area ( Note if hood is fiberglass or plastic you can make one out of sheet metal only but must be the same size as the fiberglass one)
7. Mowers must have good brakes and forward and reverse gears at the start of the heat.
8. Gas tank must be secured and have a cap on it (Any gas leaking and you will be disqualified).
9. Leg guards are mandatory and must be bolted or welded from rear fender to front of footrest or frame. Must run horizontally from the top of the rear fenders to the front of footrest. Do not angle them down, the more protection for your legs the better. Any openings must be covered with sheet metal. (IF LEG GUARDS COME OFF YOU WILL BE DISQUALIFIED)
10. A rear bumper is permitted but is not allowed to extend more then 4 inches out and it can not be any wider then the outside of the tires also it can not attach to the leg guards or front bumper. You may build a back support but cannot attach to the back or front bumper. No spikes, sharp edges or any pertusions allowed (bumper can be home made with I/H beam or square tubing.) bumpers can be no larger than 3”
11. Front bumpers. No pointed bumpers. Bumpers must be flat with no sharp edges. Not to exceed 3” channel or 3”x3” square tubing. 2” Space max between mower and front bumper. Bumper cannot stick out past outside of the front tires (width of mower) the front of the mower must be a smooth finish for safety. You may have a grill guard either in front of the hood or behind but must be no wider or taller than the factory hood. Front bumper must have a extra bar that is only 6” off the ground
12. Regearing and changing of pulleys to increase speed is permitted and encouraged.
13. Any and all drive train modifications are permitted but must stay belt driven.
14. All mowers must use lawn mower type tires only. Tractor tread, 4wheeler and cut tires will be permitted, air in tires only. No foam filled or solid tires. No tire chains or dual wheels will be allowed. You may glue or screw tires to rims. Valve stem protection allowed
15. Mower decks must be removed.
16. All headlights and any other glass and plastics must be removed before you enter the pits.
17. If you use a battery it must be securely mounted and covered with a non-flammable material.
18. For safety if a mower does roll over then stop until the mower is up right and the driver is back on the his mower.
19. Please put your number on both sides of the mower or your helmet so we can track the winners.
20. No profanity allowed on the mowers or helmets or you will not be allowed to participate.
21. All drivers must wear a helmet. No shorts or cut off shirts. Long sleeve shirts are highly recommended.
