are you seriously bringing a doba to a stock show, cant weld the K solid, so you might as well bring a shopping cart. Gonna bend at the fire wall quick, even in a weld show they do....I will assure you one thing Brandon will keep this show stock, he knows what hes looking for/at. and as nervous as people are about other people getting one over on the rest, there will be a lot of eyes on everyones builds....I can guarantee you if I spot something that's even questionable I will sing like a canary. Im not pulling 2.5 hours in a stock car, for someone else to overbuild. and I know jon knows his shit, and will spot something a block away.....but honestly it would be tough to cheat this show, im sure some jack leg will try something, but it wont be to the extent of changing the outcome....good luck in that pinchframer...ive ran a bunch of em. like them in a full weld show, because you can remove pucks and suck tight and weld the K, in this one you cant even change the bolts, or remove the pucks....so bring on the doba..... "GAGE" This one was built to the gills, still bent at firewall. nature of the best.... Attachments:

Who's bringing a doba? Not I sir, and as for me I don't cheat, maybe that's why my cars get junked but I assure you I will build a legal car to the rules. As for junking ill leave that up in the air, but I'm going to have fun. I could sit here and shit talk all night but most of it is in good fun just to get people rilled up. It seems to have worked for you though, as for singinglike a canary I have no problem with john or brandon or any other checking my shit ill even hold the flashlight. Ill worry about me.

Wow, step out for a day and this thread blows up. lol.
Brandon, I have been busy but when I found out that you guys had Winfield I decided to make sure I could help support. You haven't seen me baking in the driveway this summer because project Karmann Ghia is soooooo super secret that I'm building it at an undisclosed location.
Arron, just going to have to find me in the pits to see what it really is.
Jon, this might have the little engine that could but I don't have the right frame of mind to find out how long the engine will last. Other parts will get tested before heat becomes a factor.
Anybody worried about inspection doing their job can pick through my cars at anytime (as long as I'm there for a handshake and bs'ing).

Oh, didn't the Toronado trans have tb400 innards with a chain drive that was considered one of the toughest and most dependable of all front wheel drive cars? It was used behind old's highest horsepower 455 with high success...

ABSOLUTELY, THEY BASICALLY CUT THE BELLHOUSING OFF, REDSIGNED THE PAN AND OUTPUT SHAFT FOR THE TRANSAXLE... BUT.. YOU ALREADY KNEW ALL THAT LOL...WHAT I LIKE ABOUT THE TORO`S, IS THAT ITS THE ONLY GM PRODUCT THAT HAS A FACTORY U-JOINT IN THE STEERING COLUMN... AND. ELDORADO AS WELL.. NOT REAL FOND OF THE "S" BEND IN FRONT BUT THERE ARE TWO WAYS TO FIX THEM AND NEITHER IS WELDING...I ALSO HAVE A SOFT SPOT FOR ANYTHING THATS METRIC GM THAT DRIVES. AND THERES ALOT OF THOSE AROUND... THE AVATAR PIC WAS FROM THE FIRST WELLINGTON INVITE DERBY. 1978 OLDS DELTA 88 SEDAN, GRANDMA PLATE WAS ORIGINAL TO THE CAR SO IT HAD TO STAY.... DRYBLOCK OLDS 350 LASTED LONG ENOUGH TO HAVE FUN THEN DRIVE ON THE TRAILER TO GET HER STRIPPED AND SCRAPPED..GONNA SEE HOW A 76 LESABRE WITH FACTORY V-6 HANDLES THE HEAT WITHOUT A RADIATOR. SHE IS HALFWAY SEASONED AND SHOULD DO 20 MINUTES EASY...TIME WILL TELL.....

need a 318 360 or 400 for a derby driver that's first time driver. if ya got something out there that u pulled out of a car he would like to talk to you. He does not have a lot of money to put in to it just needs something that runs. Hit me up and ill give him your number. He bought a car for this show and found out yesterday the motor he had in the car was full of water.

Just wondering if rear humps will be checked internally for extra support? Not hard to pull a gm off the frame cut the top of the frame rail, add a pipe, patch it up and back on it goes and no ones the wiser. Just asking because I don't want to bring a stock car and get cheated like I did two years ago by outlaw promotions. Is theeir a re inspection fee at the end of the race because I'll bring cash. Not trying to be on a soapbox but if your going to cheat I'm going to junk your shit. Better believe that. we will be checking the cars top to bottom and if you are lucky enough to get in the top 3 you will be inspected after the show if there is any thing found in the frame or bumper's or something that was hide before or done after inspection at that time you will forfeit your winnings and it will be given to the guy who placed behind you and then on down the line every one will move up a spot. I have built cars and so have all 4 inspectors we know how to cheat and we know what is stock. I know and you know that an inspector is not perfect but we will enforce the rules. If you are willing to throw away $1000 or more bring a car that's illegal because I don't have a problem having you put it on the trailer. We are going to have a good show there are going to be more than enough cars it will not be like the past when we need every car to make a show. If you don't want to cut it or there is weld on these cars other than where we have allowed I am going to load you up.

Few questions
What's the rule for using wire or chains to hold bumpers on the car? Is it two per bumper for chain or unlimited nine wire?
I'm building an 83 caprice but it has an aluminum bumper from what I can tell. Would a 77 Malibu bumper work or do I need a 83 Chevy bumper?
Are window bars allowed to be welded in?

1. Cars must have at least two bars attached from roof down to dash area to prevent hood from coming in. Can use chain or bolt bars. READING THAT , TO ME IT MEANS THAT THE WINDSHIELD BARS CAN ONLY BE BOLTED IN AND NOT WELDED..... GAE, YOURE GONNA LIKE THAT CAPRICE.. EASY TO BUILD, FUN AND THERES A TON AROUND IF YOU LIKE THEM....
